Acne Skin Care Tips
Jun 15th, 2009 by Lucy Katts

It is a commonly known fact that acne results mainly from the excess oil trapped inside when pores get blocked. This excess oil, known as sebum, facilitates the development of P. acnes bacterium and eventually causes acne lesions, pimples, and even scars in severe cases. While there are many treatments and medications to cure acne at its various stages, there are a lot of acne skin care tips which can help you prevent acne from getting severe. Let’s briefly look at some of these tips.

Firstly, always remember that acne is pretty common in adolescence so you shouldn’t get tensed or depressed if you catch it during your teenage years. Also, don’t buy the myth about dirt causing black spots on your face. While it does help to keep your face clean using a mild soap, you should also use a benzoyl-peroxide lotion afterward to rid the skin of any sebum and bacteria on the skin surface. And don’t underestimate the strength of this advice, as it’s endorsed by the American Academy of Dermatology.

Secondly, don’t be amongst the majority of acne sufferers who only worsen their condition by popping pimples. While the temptation is great as can be felt by those suffering from acne, popping them would cause excessive swelling and redness, and may eventually leave dirty-looking scars. If there is an upcoming special ceremony where your pimples can spoil the party for you, I would suggest you consult a dermatologist and you would be better off with his expert advice.

If you want to use a moisturizer to enhance the feel of your skin, that’s perfectly understandable as some acne cleansers can dry up your skin pretty quickly. But don’t go for some of those excessively oily products. Get hold of a moisturizing gel rather than a greasy cream and pick only those gels that have the label noncomedogenic attached to them. These types are more acne friendly and don’t usually block skin pores.

Finally, excessive sun rays can also harm your skin so be careful at that end. Though tanning may seem a good thing to hide your acne, it usually speeds up production of sebum that is the major cause of acne growth. And besides, excessive tanning can also lead to skin cancer.

And remember, all people have different skin so what works for one may not work for you. So contact a dermatologist in case you acne becomes severe.

Firepow and Keys To Weblog
Jun 15th, 2009 by Lucy Katts

The initial tip for the health of a blog or affiliate site is that it has to target a set of people (a niche) who are hungry for information of a specific nature. You can exploit that niche using a tool similar to Firepow 2.0 to make profit online.

The set of visitors that your blog or mini site targets has to be a group of visitors who have issues. Problems in the sense that they are looking for an answer to something, looking to improve something. Furthermore, in a great niche, that SOMETHING, is something that causes pain. Financial pain, physical pain, emotional pain, some sort of pain, for the clear reason that people who have pain are the people who will want to buy solutions to that pain, and hopefully from your website.

If that sounds a bit disturbing, trying to exploit people with troubles, it’s not. It’s called marketing. You’ve had sales people doing it to you your whole life and you probably never even knew about it, why can’t you do it too? And what’s more, you’re actually going to provide these people with a real solution. A great way to reach your target market is with the Firepow tool.

Your next worry has to be whether there are enough of these people searching for solutions to their problems on the internet. How many is enough you ask? It’s a good question. With certain kinds of sites, all you need is 20 visitors to your site per day and you can turn a nice monthly profit. Other niches and products that you promote you might need thousands per day. It all depends on what you sell, and who to, AND how much commission you make when you sell to them.

The things you should do are look at the search numbers, as indicated by a tool like Wordtracker. In this case you’re simply looking at how many searches each day a particular keyphrase gets in the search engines. Then after that, you want to look at whether there are other sites or blogs that are competing in the same niche.

Counter to what many people think, NO competition isn’t necessarily a good thing. NO competition could and often does mean that it’s not a profitable niche. What you actually want is SOME competition, but POOR competition that you can DESTROY by making a better site, providing better content and in a better way.

By the way, for a clear review on the Firepow platform, visit MasonWorld.com.

The final piece of the puzzle of finding a good niche, is whether the niche has a quality product for you to promote. You need something to sell to these people, that is high quality, has great marketing material (sales letter etc, so it will convert your traffic well) and pays a decent commission.

This is of course assuming you’re looking at the affiliate marketing model of making money with your blog - which I suggest if you’re looking to retire from your job and earn a full time passive income, you SHOULD be. There are other ways to make money where you might think about some different factors in your niche selection.

So if you can combine all of the above factors when selecting your niche, you’ll be giving yourself and your new blog the best possible chance of success.
