Aug 15th, 2009 by Lucy Katts

There are many success stories you will hear on the internet about businesses making big profits on the internet. The problem is, there are ten times that many businesses who would say that trying to make a profit on the internet is a waste of time. Since the internet became public, many people have tried to launch an online business enterprise, but only a portion of those trying have succeeded.

To make an internet business successful, it requires good business skills, a lot of help and a team effort. Most importantly, it is also the eagerness to succeed, the determination to learn, along with the willingness to invest in a lot of hard work and money.

Web traffic is essential. Without traffic, all your efforts would be a waste of time and resources. Every business also needs customers, without them you wouldn’t have anyone to sell your products to. In the internet world, web traffic is the equivalent of a walk in customer. The more traffic you have, the more people you have the option to potentially sell your products to. On the other hand, not everyone that goes to your web site will buy, but the more people that do come in to browse through your products or services offered, the greater number of people that will buy your products or services. This is a basic and well known fact in the business world.

You may be wondering how you get enough web traffic so that you could make a profit from your business enterprise. Many big companies with websites receive thousands of visitors a day and only a small percentage of those might actually buy something and that small percentage of people buying is enough to provide them with good sales.

Many of the online businesses that prosper get their web traffic from people that they pay. As they say, you have to speculate to accumulate. Advertising is the key to successful business ventures. The more people that know that your website exists, the more people go and visit it.

Search on the internet will be the easiest and fastest medium for finding what people need. Search engines are very popular. This is because they provide a vital and easy service to many people. With this popularity, search engines get many visitors, which creates a ton of website traffic.

Search engines provide information to the millions of users that visit them each day. If your site link pops up in the higher ranks of the search results page while someone is looking for something, you have a greater chance that they will go to your site instead of someone else’s site. However, ranking highly for competitive search terms in the natural listings is no easy task and an easier and quicker route for many is to use pay per click advertising.

When you pay for your advertisements, it is like paying for your website traffic. This may sound like it wouldn’t be such a great idea, but the payoffs after you obtain advertisements will tell a different story. When you buy web traffic, you are practically guaranteed a consistent traffic flow to your site.

Usually, advertisers will charge you depending on the number of hits a link gets. This happens when someone clicks on your ad. This method is called pay per click. For some search engines, you will be charged depending on the number of times your ad shows up when a person searches for a certain keyword or keyword phrase. It is of great importance that you have good keyword content in your ad. This will ensure more clicks, which translates into more web traffic and revenue.

All the money and effort you spend paying for your traffic will not be a waste. You will get an impressive boost in website traffic, which in turn, translates into a great boost in for your sales figures. Paying for your traffic is a really great idea for online businesses and you will get all the benefits it has to offer.

What Is Internet Marketing Strategy- Here Are Some Quick Descriptions
Aug 15th, 2009 by Lucy Katts

What is Internet marketing?

1. Depending on whom you ask, the term Internet marketing can mean a variety of things. At one time, Internet marketing consisted typically of having a website or placing banner ads on other websites. On the other end of the spectrum, there are loads of companies telling you that you can make a fortune overnight on the Internet and who try to sell you some form of “Internet marketing program“.

Today, Internet marketing, or online marketing, is evolving into a broader mix of components a company can use as a means of increasing sales - even if your business is done completely online, partly online, or completely offline. The decision to use Internet marketing as part of a company’s overall marketing strategy is strictly up to the company of course, but as a rule, Internet marketing is becoming an increasingly important part of nearly every company’s marketing mix. For some online businesses, it is the only form of marketing being practiced.

2. Internet marketing is comparatively inexpensive when compared to the ratio of cost against the reach of the target audience. Internet marketing is a great way to bring more profit to your business. Internet marketing is a cost effective way to deliver quality buyers for your services at little cost compared to most types of marketing services.

Search engines are important to your Internet marketing strategy because according to a recent study, some 85% of all Web site traffic originates from either a search engine or directory. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is one of the most successful tactics used in e-Marketing today.

3. Internet marketing is the business of both advertising and selling goods and services over the Internet. This form of business is ever-increasing in popularity, with millions of people now making purchases on the Internet. Internet marketing began in the early 1990s as primarily a means of product description, consisting merely of text descriptions. As technology progressed, Internet marketing rapidly advanced to include pictures and other rich graphics as part of advertisements for products and services. After realizing the remarkable potential of this means of marketing, Internet-based companies started opening their virtual doors for business. As opposite to what are now known as “brick and mortar” operations, these e-businesses offer their products and services to a increasing number of consumers, conducting all, or nearly all, of their business in the virtual world of the Internet.

There are numerous forms of marketing on the Internet. For more details go to www.split-test-profits.com Among them are article marketing, blog marketing, e-mail marketing, search engine marketing (to include search engine optimization), banner ads, pay-per-click ads, and pop-up ads. It is important to note that each of these forms catches the attention of the target market in different ways, and some may be more effective than others depending on the product or service, the target market, and the strategy and goal of the business marketing itself. Among the business functions that may require use of different means in their strategies are customer service, sales, public relations, information management, and others.

4. Internet marketing is still a complete mystery to a large majority of Internet users. For many users, Internet marketing is seen as some foreign area of the web, populated with silly get-rich-quick schemes and unsavory characters ready to rip off the innocent and uninformed consumer at the click of a mouse.

Worldwide there are now over a billion Internet users, representing one large global consumer base or marketplace. The total amount of goods sold online has been steadily increasing each year as the Internet gains in both popularity and familiarity. Studies have shown people shop online because of lower prices, a wider selection of products, easier comparison shopping, and many just prefer not having to travel to stores to make a purchase.

5. Think of your website as a local shop that is situated down a dead end street. To succeed your customers need to know where you are and what you are about.

First of all this means having good road signs and there being a road layout that makes the street easy to get to. In the online world the road signs and layout are the website software and optimised content and they are just as important if you want online customers to find you.

6. Internet marketing is the research of the target audience, studying the market situation and predicting changes for the online market, plus the package of actions aimed at bringing potential customers to the website by improving the web site’s visibility in search engines and placing all sorts of ads throughout the Net. An integral part of the Internet marketing is the web site’s visits statistics.

Any of your actions toward increasing sales are to be evaluated in terms of their efficiency. The quality analysis of the Internet statistics will help you understand your prospective customers’ demands and interests, evaluate the attraction and retention methods that are good for the customers and reveal what makes them to not get interested in your products or services.

Physician Job Search Tips
Aug 15th, 2009 by Lucy Katts

1) Defining purpose. What you are looking for in a position? Some items to consider are: environment (rural, suburban or urban), practice set-up (group, partnership, employee, etc.), compensation plan for physician employment and rotation.

2) Preparation. Practice! Practice! Practice! Do your homework before interviewing. Anticipate possible questions concerning physician practice opportunities and write answers for each.

3) Punctuality. Not just on time, but a little early for each site and telephone interview.

4) Appearance. Arrive at the interview with a neat and clean appearance. Avoid being overly made-up. Dress conservatively and comfortably.

5) Body language. Eye contact is essential. If shaking hands, offer a firm handshake. Erect posture shows confidence. Sit down only after being offered a chair.

6) Portfolio. Plan ahead. Bring copies of necessary information (CV and references). A legal notebook for taking notes is always recommended. Formulate a list of questions to help you evaluate the opportunity.

7) Enthusiasm. Bring an absolutely positive attitude without being too familiar. Negativism is not allowed. Sell yourself. The difference between bragging and self confidence is enthusiasm.

8) Smile. A genuine heart warming smile can win over anyone…whether you interview for physician jobs or not.

9) Thank you. At the end of each interview, thank the interviewer for their time. Follow up with a thank you note highlighting various points discussed during the visit.

10) Use a professional recruiter. Have a professional recruiter handle the search process for you. The task can be overwhelming to organize and maintain.

Back to School Clothes
Aug 15th, 2009 by Lucy Katts

It’s no secret that money is often tight and sometimes we can’t have every little thing we want. But that’s no reason to keep us from spicing up our look every now and then. And that is why they invented the back to school teen clothing sale! For a teenage girl, going back to school isn’t something that comes out of nowhere, as if it were a big surprise. This also means that our favorite clothing stores are not surprised by this yearly event, and so, they are well prepared to sell us all of the latest teen fashions and designs we love, for half the price!

Now is the time to keep your eyes peeled for such a girls outfits sale. Just take a walk through the nearest mall and you’ll see a deal on every corner. But here’s a word of caution. If we’re not careful, we can get swept away into “sale land” and end up buying a whole bunch of stuff we don’t need, for less. Here are a few basic essentials that won’t steer you wrong.

JEANS
If you have a pair of jeans that you just love and fit you perfect, keep them! Take good care of them! Having a good pair of jeans is like having a good friend. If you care for them, they’ll care for you. If you’re still on a quest to find the right jeans for you, at an affordable price, try Forever 21. They offer skinny jeans for $12.50. And that’s the regular price! Imagine what a back to school sale would be like at that store! Old Navy, Target and the Gap are also known for having quality jeans and fabulous sales.

ACCESSORIES
Any outfit can be new again by adding some fun accessories. With decorative headbands, hair clips, scarves and necklaces, you can decorate yourself throughout the whole school year. Shoes are also a fun way to stand out from the crowded hallways, but be sure they are comfortable. You don’t want to bomb that math quiz because your feet are on fire! Payless Shoe Source is a perfect place to find today’s styles. And their BOGO sale (buy on, get on free), can’t be beat.

PLAIN TEES, VESTS & HOODIES
As the weather will inevitably cool off, layering is a wonderful option. When you come across a sale that offers plain items in all colors, don’t be afraid to stock up. A plain white tee looks great on it’s own, but when you add a vest or jacket, or any of the above accessories, it becomes an entirely different outfit! Target, Forever 21 and H&M are perfect place to find these items, and they all offer a sale section year around.
