Buying A New Grill for Top Tasting Food
Sep 19th, 2009 by Lucy Katts

It’s difficult to find better tasting food than when you’ve just cooked up some delicious meat and vegetables on your outdoor grill. Some of the best gas grills have excellent features and build quality that will allow you to cook in the backyard for many years to come.

There are several different types of grills and many makes to choose from. Some of the most well known and popular makes of grill include Ducane, CharBroil grills, Brinkman and Weber grills. Some of the best grills can set you back quite a lot of money but should last quite some time.

If you’ve never grilled outdoors before, then you really are missing out. Some of the foods you can cook are delicious, including grilled salmon, lobster tails, as well as the common beef burgers and sausages, and of course the favorite corn on the cob.

Arguably one of the best known grills is the george foreman grill because of its heavy promotion. It’s often known as the “Lean Mean Fat-Reducing Grilling Machine” because it aims to grill food without holding the fat that some other grills do. Despite first being released almost 15 years ago, the George Foreman grill is still going strong and continues to improve in technology. This particular make of grill is often associated with grilling indoors, but there are also outdoor grills from George Foreman.

Buying a grill is a great idea for family gatherings or for when friends come round. Grilling most foods is pretty straightforward, but there are also plenty of excellent recipes that are perfect for experimenting with new ingredients.

A good place to begin is by reading grill reviews online. There are many models of grills, with different accessories and in different sizes so it pays to do your research before you decide on any particular make, type or model of grill.

My Experience Of Bournemouth And Dorset
Sep 19th, 2009 by Lucy Katts

Some people think that Dorset is a boring place, but actually, when you add Dorset to hot weather and to remote places, its looking good.

Dorset is awesome when you make it a destination for a holiday, because its really cheap, and has a rich view, and this what makes more people to come to Dorset for holidays.

Dorset is lovely for holiday cottages. Its close to public areas and the South-East and has more sunny weeks and less rain than Cornwall or Devon. Holiday cottages Dorset are old, with some gardens, most have open fires for the pleasures of wildlife. Each Dorset Cottage is in a special village with a point of 10 miles if you were going towards the Jurassic Coast. And World Heritage Coast Path. Your holiday or short break will be apart from rolling hills running down to the ocean.

Bournemouth is a amazing area near summer time, because all the shops are open, everyone is smiling and being happy, and the beach is gorgeous!. What makes Bournemouth a nice place is that the atmosphere is very relaxed and pleasant, and this makes a substantial amount of visitors for Bournemouth. Poole has equal advantages as what Bournemouth has, nice beach and lovely atmosphere. What makes them the same is that they have together gained 10 beach awards, so this basically sends signals to the tourists saying, “hello, come to and visit Bournemouth or Poole beach!”. This shows that there beaches are clean and safe for vacation purposes.

Moors Valley is a spectacular experience so that the whole family can enjoy the activities and great animals. Moors Valley Park in Bournemouth is aimed at mostly kids but there is really, because of the fairly recent solution called ‘Go Ape’, this enables youngsters to maintain fitness, and have fun whilst doing that, but theoretically, there is no limited to the age.

The Moors River and Lakes are a crucial habitat for the animals. Some birds on the lakes including Grey Herons really make the area special and the heart of Dorset. Tufted Ducks, Pochard and Teal are just some of our cold-month spectators. Over 20 species of dragonfly can be shown during the summer.

Customer Satisfaction Surveys
Sep 19th, 2009 by Lucy Katts

Why should you bother?

Good customer service is the life blood of any business. New customers are important but good customer service will help generate customer loyalty and repeat business. With each satisfied customer your business will secure many more customers through word of mouth and you should always keep in mind that if you are not taking proper care of your customers there is always a competitor that will.

A customer satisfaction survey will help by not only identifying problem areas but will also demonstrate to your customers that you care and are proactive in looking for ways to improve the service that you provide.

Where to start?

Objective - Before you start compiling your survey you should first consider what the objectives of the survey are, in that way you will remain focused and find it easier to decide what questions to ask.

Analysis - Once the survey has been completed consider how you will analyse the answers.

Keep in mind that ‘closed’ questions (where a respondent is asked to choose from a limited number of responses) are much easier to analyze than ‘open’ questions (where the respondent can reply in anyway they want).

A lot will depend on the predicted volume of respondents, the higher the volume the more important it is to have an easy method of analysing the results.

Opportunity – Keep in mind that as well as obtaining valuable market research data customer surveys are also a good way to publicise aspects of your service that your customers may not be aware of.

After you have drafted your survey read through the survey from a market research view point and check that you are asking the right questions in the right way and that with the feedback information you will be able to make informed decisions.

Then, read through the survey from a marketing view point, check that you have phrased each question so that every opportunity has been taken to promote your business?

The ideal question will perform the following three functions:-

  • Market research - provide valuable feedback to help you improve your customer satisfaction levels and in turn your business
  • Marketing - promote aspects of your business
  • Information/Education - advertise a service that you provide that your customers may not have been unaware of

For example:- Do you find the in-store baby changing facilities useful?

By asking this question not only will the store receive good feedback on the facility they provide but they will also advertise their baby changing facilities and promote themselves as a family friendly store beyond those customers who have a specific need for the facility provided.

Warts and all – to benefit most from a customer survey you need to be prepared to accept criticism.

A customer satisfaction survey should be designed to highlight problems so that they can be addressed; regular customer satisfaction will prevent complacency and will also give early warning on where your competitors initiatives may be losing you business.

What to ask?

Depending on their own particular size and makeup each business is likely to have unique factors in relation to providing good customer services however there are common areas relevant to all businesses be they a physical store, online store or a service industry. The following are some key areas to providing good customer service.

Communication - What do you do to help your customers communicate with you?

When customers telephone are their calls answered quickly; are their enquiries about products or services handled properly? A good business will make every effort to ensure that whatever the customers query it is resolved by the right person, politely, quickly and fairly.

If customers reported problems that cannot be resolvable immediately do you promise to respond in a given time period and do you deliver on your promise?

Use a customer satisfaction survey to ensure that all your staff are considered by your customers to be helpful, courteous and knowledgeable.

Location – Do your customers find it easy to visit you, if a physical store, is it conveniently located with good access?

Making it pleasant, making it easy - For a virtual business it is important to ensure that your website is easy to use and aesthetically pleasing.

Regardless of the store being a bricks and mortar or purely online web based store, is the store properly laid out and can your customers find what they need and is there sufficient detailed information and help on hand to explain how a particular product works?

The right quality products – In addition to measuring the quality of the service that you provide you should ensure that the products and services that you provide do fully match your customers’ requirements.

Value for money – Cheap or expensive is rarely a good measure, value for money is.

Are the products you sell or the services you provide considered by your customers to be value for money, if not, why not?

Speed and attention – No matter what the business, the majority of customers will want to be dealt with quickly but attentively.

Are you doing everything you can to avoid delays?

A good business will try to treat each customer as an individual, does yours? Attention is one thing but this has to be hand- in-hand with a quick and satisfactory resolution of the query.

Demographics and Specific issues – Take the opportunity to profile your customers, for example what is their age group and where do they live?

Understanding your customers more will allow you to properly target your business.

Allow customers to highlight their specific problems and provide contact details.

What next?

Having completed the survey analyze the results.

Trends – Look for common and specific areas where the service is failing.

Ask yourself honestly if any criticism that you receive is valid and if there anything that can be done to resolve or minimise the problem?

Training – Are all employees properly trained and do they have sufficient knowledge?

Where staff training programmes have been implemented have they had a positive impact on the business?

Follow-up – If a customer who has completed a survey has raised a specific issue do all you can to ensure that their complaint is addressed.

Don’t waste an opportunity to resolve a problem and keep a customer.

Continuously Monitor - Based on the survey results make changes and then re-measure by issuing further surveys.
