Fountain Hills AZ homes
Nov 11th, 2009 by Lucy Katts

HTML clipboardFountain Hills is a secluded city located approximately 30 miles northwest of Phoenix. Because of the higher elevation, along with other elements, Fountain Hills has cooler temperatures than any of its neighbors. In fact, Fountain Hills has been labeled as a fabulous place to raise your family. This town’s boundaries are very significant. Just to the west the gradually sloping Shea corridor, links this beautiful community to the city of Scottsdale. To the east is the Fort McDowell Indian Community. Approximately northwest are the majestic McDowell Mountains. These unmovable communities has prevented mass expansion and maintains the small town flavor.

In 1970 it was designed Charles Wood Jr., by the same man who designed Disney Land,. They developed the world’s tallest man made fountain as the centerpiece of the city which shoots 560 feet into the air.

The people in Fountain Hills are those who have already earned their fortunes and those who are still in the early stages of making their mark on life. Fountain Hills AZ homes ranges from single family ranches   condominiums to estates well over a million dollars and on.

Eagle Mountain, Sunridge Canyon and Firerock Country Clubs are the newest neighborhoods in the area. They feature fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. The views are valuable assets and are available from almost all of the numerous residential neighborhoods, custom homes and condominiums. The Fountain Hills School District serves students from preschool through 12th grade. Boasting an outstanding location, a laid-back lifestyle, this area offers something for everyone from young to old.

Some plans have been set in motion to create more local jobs for the area moderate population although many residents gladly make the commute to Phoenix in exchange for the benefits of living in such a coveted location.

Cheapest Car Rentals - Which Deal Is The Best Deal
Nov 11th, 2009 by Lucy Katts

If you have ever rented a car before then you know the importance of finding the cheapest car rental offers out there. Many car rental places are itching to get their cars rented in advance and will offer you the renter the best deals that are available to you. After all if you can book in advance it is a win win situation for you as you will be able to save sufficient amounts of money on a range of cheap rental cars. But the question has to be asked where do you go about in trying to find the cheapest car rental deals out there today? That my lost friends is where I come in handy, I will show you the way to go about finding the best deals on your next rental.

Lets start our search on the internet. Now there are two ways that you can find the cheapest prices available. First you can get the prices directly from the company’s website. This will allow you to search for the deals that you think will be your best bet. Another way of doing your search for the cheapest car rental is to go through a site such as Priceline. com then you can find the best deals that way. The thing I have noticed about these sites is that usually the price that they offer you is the non discounted price from the rental company. So in my opinion it would be best to just rent your car from the rental company itself rather than going through a middleman.

My advice to you is to go to the company’s website and check the cheap car rentals rate without the discount applied, do this for several websites and determine which one has the best rates over all without any discounts being applied. This is one of the best methods in trying to find the cheapest car rentals deals that there are out there.

It is important to keep in mind that when looking for the best prices out there that you make sure that you read the terms of service on the site very well. Nothing will cause your vacation plans to go south quicker than not reading the TOS and getting stuck with unwanted fees that will take away from the amount of money you have available to you for your trip.

There are plenty of ways to find the best prices out there all you have to do is put fourth a little research time and be willing to compare the best deals for your money. Many people think that trying to find the best deals involves going on a search like Indiana Jones just to find a cheap car rental and be able to afford going to the beach on your vacation.

I.Q. test
Nov 11th, 2009 by Lucy Katts

Test that attempts to find out the inborn intellectual ability, rather than learned ability.

It is now generally believed that a minor’s score in an iq test can be affected by it’s environment, background, as well as teaching.

There is widespread questions about the accuracy and reliability of iqtests, but they are still commonly used as a diagnostic tool when children display learning difficulties.

The French psychologist Alfred Binet (1857–1911) devised the first intelligence test in 1905.

The IQ (from the German Intelligenz-Quotient), was coined by the German psychologist William Stern in 1912 as a proposed method of scoring early modern children’s intelligence tests.

It is calculated according to the formula: IQ = MA/CA x 100 in which MA is ‘mental age’ (the age at which an average child is able to perform given tasks) and CA is ‘chronological age’, hence an average person has an IQ of 100 ± 10.

Although the term “IQ” is still in common use, the scoring of modern IQ tests such as the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale is now based on a projection of the subject’s measured rank on the Gaussian bell curve with a center value (average IQ) of 100, and a standard deviation of 15, although different tests may have different standard deviations.

Intelligence tests were first used on a large scale in the USA in 1917 during World War I for two million drafted men, and their subsequent widespread use for education and employment decisions has provoked protests from minority groups who contend the tests are culturally biased and discriminatory.

IQ scores have been shown to be associated with such factors as morbidity and death rate, parental social status, and to a significant degree, parental IQ. While its heritage has been inquired for almost a century, controversy remains as to how much is inheritable, and the mechanisms of inheritance are still a subject to some debate.

IQ scores are used in many settings: as predictors of educational accomplishment or special needs, by social scientists who study the distribution of IQ scores in populations and the relationships between IQ score and other variables, and as predictors of job performance and income.

The average IQ scores for many populations have been rising at an average rate of three points per decade since the early 20th century with most of the gain in the lower half of the IQ range: a phenomenon called the Flynn effect. It is disputed whether these changes in scores reflect real changes in intellectual abilities, or merely problems with past or present testing methods.
