Avoid Cramming Too Much Information At One Time To Help Remember
Jan 22nd, 2012 by Lucy Katts

The truth of the matter is that people are terrified of losing their memory permanently. With things like Alzheimer’s and dementia, we know that there’s a distinct possibility of not even being able to recognize those closest ones to us one day. Help fight against memory loss by using the tips below. Well before you think to spend money, take a look at procera user reviews to get specifics on this memory loss supplement.

If you are studying new information, try switching up your routine a little bit. Endlessly repeating the same sort of study session can get boring. You may find that, after a while, you are no longer retaining the information. So switch up your routine. Pick a new time and a new place to study. The novelty of the change will help you in remembering.

Well before you choose to spend money, see procera avh really work to get more information about this brain supplement. Establish relationships with old and new information. To keep your memory in top form, keep information relevant in your mind. Your brain will automatically discard most facts it deems useless. It is often necessary to “update” memories. Think on them regularly and determine how they relate or hold up to new information.

Another great enhancer for your brain functions, and therefore your memory, is to undertake regular physical exercise. In addition to the physical benefits to the body, this will also aid memory retention on both a short and long term basis. This is because the act of exercise delivers additional blood-flow, and consequently additional oxygen, to the brain.

It is important that you take steps to keep your memory in shape throughout the years. Diet is crical in this regard. It has been shown that getting enough folic acid in your diet can help fight memory loss. Foods rich in folic acid include many beans and legumes, leafy greens, fortified bread and cereals, citrus juices and more.

Well before you think to purchase, visit procera reviews for specifics regarding this brain supplement. When trying to commit an item such as study materials to memory, it is best that you focus on these in an environment which is free from distractions such as television or music. Items can only move from the short term memory into the long term memory if you actively pay attention to the topic on hand.

Studies have shown that Omega-3 and other nutritional supplements found in fish can increase memory and brain cell development. For this reason, a diet rich in fish and products laced with Omega-3 can help you improve your abilities of reasoning and recall. Make sure your diet is consistent with overall brain health, and try not to ignore fish on the menu.

One way to boost your memory and to fight off a host of physical and mental problems in the process is through meditation. Meditation can actually thicken the cerebral cortex and promote brain cell connections, thereby increasing mental acuity and the ability to remember. It also stimulates the area of the brain connected with happiness and contentment, thereby lessening the effects of depression, anxiety, high blood pressure, and, for reasons yet unknown, diabetes and chronic pain.

Try to use all five of your sense when trying to remember things. By using as many of your senses that the situation calls for, you will have a better time remembering it. If it is a location you are trying to remember, picture the way it smelled and the sounds associated with the area.

If you have noticed that your memory isn’t what it used to be, maybe you aren’t getting enough sleep. You need to be sleeping seven to eight hours each night in order to improve your memory. During your sleep cycle, your brain processes all new information to create these memories for you so you have them to recall later.

All in all, our minds are a great central processing unit that creates great things. One of these great creations is our memory. Without our memory, life would be bland, blank and pointless. Now that we know exactly how our memory works, we feel a little more connected to our inner selves. This article proves how great our minds are and how important our memory is.

Is Breakfast Really Important?
Jan 22nd, 2012 by Lucy Katts

We have been told for the longest time that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and that to achieve significant weight loss we have to have breakfast. But why? Well I am going to tell you why in the next few paragraphs. I will tell you what happens when you do eat breakfast and the consequences of missing this important meal.

Before I begin do you know why this meal is called “breakfast”? Because it “breaks” the “fast” that you have endured since your last meal which is usually dinner. Presuming most of us have dinner at 6-7pm and rise at roughly 5-6am the following morning, it could be 10 hours since our last meal so breakfast really is breaking the fast.

So, with that in mind, we also know that we need a high rate of metabolism to burn fat to lose weight. But our metabolism only kicks in when we eat. What I mean is, when you eat, your body tells your metabolism to get to work. This guy is eating something so you better start burning up what has been deposited already. If you do not, the next meal will get stored as body fat. In essence, you have to eat to lose weight. Skipping meals does not work. Actually, you could find yourself gaining weight by skipping meals. Our metabolism works best in the morning because, like all our organs, they have had a long rest and work best after a rest.

Upon rising we need to kick start that metabolism. Put it to work. The best way to start the process is by having a glass of warm water with a dash of lemon juice. Swill it around your mouth for a few seconds before swallowing. This has been found to be a great kick starter because of the fact that lemon juice helps the digestive system. Wait 20 minutes and sit down to a balanced breakfast. I have the following:

Small bowl of cereal with a banana chopped up with it. ( no sugar)
2 pieces of wholemeal toast with egg on top.

Small but filling at the same time. Our glass of lemon water earlier has added to us feeling full and content. I follow up a few hours later with fruit, usually an apple or a pear. My other meals for the day are mapped out but that is for another time.

Now the consequences of not having breakfast is that because your metabolism will not kick in until you eat, waiting till lunch time or even mid afternoon tells your body to hold everything. Hang on to all you have. I do not know when this guy is going to eat next so just chill out and do not burn up anything. Therefore it gets stored.Ideally you want to get into a routine of eating at the same time each day. This way your body gets accustomed to when it is being fed and acts accordingly. Make sense? Sure.

Missing breakfast for a day would probably have no consequence at all but missing it continually will have. And usually without you knowing it. It creeps up on you. Because you have not fed your body for over 12 hours it cannot and does not function to it’s true capacity. This can have disasterous effects. Firstly your concentration is not what it should be. Your alertness drops. This can be fatal if you operate machinery or drive a vehicle for your job. An interesting statistic is that over 80% of workplace accidents happen in the first 30minutes of work or the last 30 minutes before knock off time. This can be attributed to the fact that concentration is not where it should be.

Eating breakfast really is vital. It is the call sign for your body to wake up and get to work. The benefits are enormous. A new body shape, an alertness you haven’t had for years and peace of mind that you are fuelling your most important asset. You. That is why eating breakfast is important.

Breakfast is vital in any health regime. It is the kick start you need on the way to your weight loss goal or any other fitness plan you undetake. Jon Benson is considered the  leading coach in health and fitness and his words on healthy eating may surprise you.
